Updating new fields in crystal reports
I made a backup copy of Order Form1Main and modified the original, to include the supplier address fields.Set Datasource Location, create a connection (OLE DB (ADO)) to the database, highlight the name of the stored procedure under Current Data Source, then find the same stored procedure in the database in the section Replace with: Order Form1, it then includes the new fields I added to the stored procedure.Concatenate all those fields that have a value into a local variable. I did the exact same thing you were looking for, but unfortunately it was a while ago at another client and I no longer had access to Crystal reports S/W.
Each of the following input properties is presented within the Create/Edit Parameter Field dialog, shown in Figure 5.2: Inserting separator characters into an Edit Mask is akin to hard-coding the formatting for the parameter field.
I am a MSSQL database administrator with little experience with Crystal Reports.
At my job, we have a need to add a couple of fields to a report.
My CR data source is a dataset which build from a views.
I added two fields in the views and update dataset. How to update CR database fields once dataset was changed?
When the field is placed on the report, the separator character appears in the field object frame, like this: L0L-0L0.
